New People: Luke Melhop

Talented architectural graduate Luke Melhop has joined us full-time.

Luke worked with us as a student intern for the past two years whilst completing his Masters of Architecture (Prof) degree.

His design thesis looked conceptually at the relationship of the city and airport, questioning whether the airport terminal can be integrated into an urban environment. The research resulted in a design proposal for the Queenstown International Airport, investigated through two scales; an urban masterplan (how the airport terminal and its public operations fits within a wider urban context) and an airport terminal (how the airport terminal would interact with a public town centre).

We value the fresh ideas and enthusiasm that new graduates bring to our practice, and we look forward to what Luke will contribute to our projects.
