Wright & Gray Architects are working with Homestead Construction on the redevelopment of the NZ Campus of Innovation and Sport (NZCIS), Upper Hutt.

The project includes a new Athletes Village and central Amenities building. The Athletes Village has 50 short-stay accommodation units, each containing a bedroom, kitchen, living area, bathroom, and laundry. The Amenities building is a social hub for athletes to gather, containing a cafeteria, breakout spaces and bathrooms.

The buildings have been designed to complement the original 1960s/70s ‘brutalist’ architecture, including some beautiful natural precast concrete work by Homestead.

The interiors are designed to a high standard, as will be expected by the elite and professional teams who will live and train at this world class facility.
